Welcome to SALRC

The Southern Australia Livestock Research Council (SALRC) provides recommendations on research and development (R&D) and extension and adoption (E&A) initiatives and investments in the Australian red meat and livestock industries for south-eastern Australia.

SALRC is an independent Incorporated Association made up of producer representatives from across NSW, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, as well as research organisations and education providers from those states.

SALRC’s main role is to influence the RD&A agenda – it does not fund RD&A, nor employ any RD&A personnel. SALRC helps to ensure that innovation and learning in the south-eastern red meat and livestock industries address industry priority issues.

Our Mission
